What are your opening hours?

We are open 8am – 6pm with an early opening at 7.30am for a limited number of children with a charge for the extra 30 minutes being added onto the daily rate.

Does the nursery close during the year?

We are open all year except between Christmas and New Year.

Do we pay extra for meals?

Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are included in your daily fees.

We cater for a range of dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances.

Do you have a consistent staff team?

The majority of our staff have been with us for 8+ years.

Whilst our newest team members tend to join us as apprentices, after they gain their professional qualifications with us, we generally offer them a permanent contract.

Do your staff have first aid training?

Most staff have first-aid and food hygiene training and they are renewed every 3 years.

Do your staff attend regular training?

All staff members undergo regular training to ensure they remain abreast of changes to legislation and standards, as well as best practice advice.

Can we get a funded place for our child?

We are in funded partnership with West Lothian and Falkirk councils for 1140 hours Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) places for 3-5’s and eligible 2-year-olds.

Can we get a blended place for our child?

We offer blended ELC places with Linlithgow and Bo’ness school nurseries according to the guidelines laid down by the councils. This enables your child to share their funded hours between a private nursery and a local authority nursery.

Do the children get to play outside?

Both nurseries have large, enclosed gardens and children spend a portion of their day outdoors. Pre-school children in both nurseries have free-flow access to the garden for most of the day and can decide to play inside or outside.

Babies have their own dedicated gardens at both nurseries. This allows the older children to play noisy and boisterous games without risking the little ones.

Do you have parking?

At Bo’ness nursery we have a car park for dropping off and picking up.

At Linlithgow, we have on-street parking right outside the nursery.

Do you have a minimum number of session we have to use?

We ask you to book at least two sessions per week. A morning/afternoon is one session and a full day is two sessions.

How often do we pay?

Fees are paid monthly in advance, so you pay on 28th of each month for the month ahead.

Methods of payment

Most parents pay fees using one of the following methods:

  • Tax Free Childcare (TFC) is a government scheme where you can save up to £2,000 per year on your childcare fees
  • Childcare vouchers from most voucher companies accepted
  • Standing order setup by parents to pay your fees monthly
  • Universal Credit may provide entitlement of up to 70% of your childcare costs

Do you have half day sessions?

8.00am – 18.00pm, full day
8.00am – 13.00pm, morning session
13.00pm – 18.00pm, afternoon session
